APPLICATIONS

SOMA SINUS SODIAL®
Pumps in the dairy industry

The market for dairy products is growing and with it the cost pressure. In this context, gentle, low-residue conveying of diverse products is important.

Product examples: Whey, butter, milkshakes, yogurt.

The SOMA SINUS SODIAL® pump is ideally designed for the transfer of shear-sensitive cheese curds and whey. Particularly gentle conveying reduces cheese dust and increases the output resulting from it.

Gentle and careful conveying of the product prevents both foam formation and product separation. Furthermore, a constant and almost pulsation-free flow ensures process and product quality.

The smooth and laminar flow maintains product stability and ensures higher dosing accuracy.

The product enters the pump chamber without any interruption or disturbance. This ensures that tanks and silos can be emptied at a higher rate than compared to other positive displacement pumps.

If desired, heating or cooling can be used to process a wide variety of different products.

Commercial products with both low and high viscosity can be transported. Energy consumption does not increase, neither at low nor at high viscosity.

All standard spare parts of the SOMA SINUS SODIAL® pump can be easily replaced by the plant operators themselves, without having to remove the pump from the plant. This saves both costs and downtime. It is also possible to clean the pump while it is installed by manual or CIP/SIP cleaning. Due to this, maximum hygiene is guaranteed

The SOMA SINUS SODIAL® pump can be designed to be ATEX compliant if required. In addition, all built-in spare parts are FDA compliant and/or  EG 1935-2004 certified. The nozzles can be adapted to the existing piping system. Replacement of wear parts or pump is possible on site without disconnecting the system piping from the pump.

The direction of rotation of the pump can be adjusted clockwise or counterclockwise, which provides 100% flexibility. To ensure optimum efficiency and minimize energy costs as well as pump wear, the pump size must be precisely matched to the process requirements.
