APPLICATIONS

SOMA SINUS SODIAL®
Pumps in the beverage industry

Viscous beverage concentrates, which are also containing acid, can make conveying more difficult. This can lead to slowdowns and air inclusions. This in turn results in product deterioration, long production times, and thus high costs.

Thanks to the constantly open suction side, the SOMA SINUS SODIAL® pump can convey even highly viscous products, such as frozen orange juice concentrate, without product degradation.

Media with a viscosity of up to 9,000,000 cps can be conveyed. However, the SOMA SINUS SODIAL® PUMP can of course also convey products with low viscosity. The energy consumption does not increase, neither at low nor at high viscosity.

The product enters the pump chamber without interruption. This means that tanks or silos can be emptied much faster than compared to other positive displacement pumps. SOMA SINUS SODIAL ® pumps guarantee smooth and gentle pumping of the product, thus avoiding foaming or liquid separation. A gentle laminar flow maintains product stability and ensures higher dosing accuracy.

The SOMA SINUS SODIAL® PUMPS convey the medium almost without shear. The flow is constant and almost pulsation-free. Due to an (optional) integrated heating and cooling system, any kind of product can be further processed.

The SOMA SINUS SODIAL® pump can be designed ATEX compliant if required. In addition, all built-in spare parts are FDA compliant and/or EG 1935-2004 certified.

Pressures up to 15 bar can be generated. All standard pump spare parts can be easily replaced by the plant operators themselves without having to remove the pump from the plant. This saves both costs and downtime. Maximum hygiene is ensured by the possibility of cleaning the pump in its installed state, using CIP/SIP cleaning, without any problems and in just a few minutes.

The nozzles can be adapted to the existing piping system. Replacement of wearing parts is possible on site without having to detach the system piping from the pump. The direction of rotation of the pump can be adjusted clockwise or counterclockwise, thus providing 100% flexibility. To ensure optimum efficiency and minimize energy costs as well as pump wear, the pump size must be precisely matched to the process requirements.
